Max’s practice spans the full spectrum of design, from handcraft to engineering, with a focus on cultural studies to address the root causes of societal issues rather than their symptoms.

Winner of the MullenLowe NOVA Award for Fresh Creative Talent for his ongoing design research project Prompting Nowhere, Max continues to expand this work through future exhibitions and further design research.

His interactive installations make emerging technologies more approachable by framing them within historical contexts and embedding them in familiar objects, opening up new ways to engage with the technologies shaping our world.
